DEATH OF THE EGO-BEING IN THE VOID!
ANGER TRANSFORMATION TO POWER –
ANXIETY AND FEAR TO POSITIVE ACTION
Note: Explore how to master the ability to love your low vibrational parts from the high vibrational consciousness of Core Being

WEEKEND THEME
The void is a key component of this weekend’s theme. So what is “being in the void” and why is it so powerful? The void is when your old ego-based sense of self is gone, yet your new sense of self has not yet been reborn. Thus, the term entering the void! You are in between having given up the old identity, yet not knowing your new identity. Another way to think of the void is – a part of your ego has died, and you currently don’t know who you are anymore.
Because of this, the void can feel terrifying. After all, who wants to let go of the old self without first knowing who your new sense of self will be? It is like quitting your job, without having a new job in place. Your internal safety system has no support so it can feel extremely painful. Much of the pain is because the ego will fight and try to hold on to its current identity. The ego never surrenders to death easily – yet that is exactly what you need to do.
As you discover how to surrender, accept and trust, you can cross that abyss and eventually a new sense of self will reform and resonate at a higher vibration of wisdom and truth. Some of the riches you reap on the other side of the void include:
- You become empowered to manifest more dreams into reality
- Your intuition expands
- You live from a more accurate view of who you really are (Core Being) as opposed to whom you have been programmed to be.
The process of:
(1) entering the void
(2) ego death and
(3) eventual rebirth of more Core Being is necessary if you are to raise your consciousness and improve your life.
A conscious person may enter the void and repeat this death/rebirth process many times in their lifetime. For without letting go of your old sense of self, you can’t open to the higher consciousness of your new sense of self. When you move through the chasm of the void, you also release yourself from even more unhealthy defenses, negative patterns and false beliefs.
Each time I do this process, it gets easier because I more easily trust and surrender; although, it is always extremely painful. There are two things that make it easier.
(1) You know you have gone through the process before so you more easily trust and surrender.
(2) The deep terror and emotional pain doesn’t define your inner value or your sense of self. In essence, you know you are not your ego so your very human pain becomes something you feel and transform and not something that defines you.
When you come out the other side of the void, you strengthen your ability to be the CEO of your life. You also deepen your authority (secure attachment) and thus create a healthy identification to your Core Being. Learning how to transform anger to power, is the second part of this weekend’s theme, and this process can help you overcome the deep fear the void invokes.
True power comes from being defenseless. This is when you no longer feel the need to use unhealthy ego-based strategies to protect the parts of you who feel young, imperfect, hopeless or wounded. This is also when the ego is no longer in charge of your safety and protection systems because you are so anchored into Core Being, the true source of your safety. If you are anchored into Core Being, you no longer need to defend your ego’s hurt or unsafe parts. In this work, your ego is NOT going to feel safe. And that is the good news. As a safe ego, will never die.
A key component to becoming defenseless at the ego level is learning how to connect to anger in a manner that it transforms to deep personal power. Part of this process is listening to the wisdom anger brings. Often anger comes to teach you that you need stronger boundaries. The relationship between anger, too weak boundaries and ego can either bring you deeper into pain or awaken you to self-mastery and a feeling of being free!
- 5- STEPS/SKILLS and 10 STAGES TO MASTER
Stage 5- Self-authority makes the void safer
- Can you give yourself love as you name, own, and claim the distortion of your growth challenge so you see it as your programming and wounding and not who you really are? Self-love heals all attachment challenges. Love is most important when you are imperfect, face a challenge that feels too big to climb or when you have made a mistake…for this is when you need it most!
- What part of you within is sending you love? That is right, is it your Core Being or your ego self? Transformation and self-love ideally can come from the frequency of Core Being and not ego. If you try and love yourself from your wounded child, he/she can feel overwhelmed by the task. Instead, invite your Enlightened Observer to help you reconnect to your Core Being and send love to your inner child!
- Can you let your ego die, which is like letting your sense of self die? As you let your ego and current sense of self die, you enter the void!
- Working your 5 Skills/Steps/Laws all day long will shrink the hold the ego has over you. It is energetic weight lifting.
- Find Your EO and have the EO work the 5 Steps. Gain the ability to check and make sure your ego doesn’t do the 5 Steps!
- Master the ability to transform anger to power. Even use the frequency of anger to help fear and anxiety transform.

DISCOVER YOUR INTERNAL POWER SOURCE
Joanne was proud of her progress in life. She was finally dancing, working hard in graduate school and feeling good about herself – until … Jan always had an “until” happening in her life. She would coast and expand, flow and glow until…. The “until” usually dealt with a male withdrawing love, or her family asking her to support herself, or some external source of power she depended upon would dry up and she would spiral downward into depression and anxiety. She would get sick, miss school, and stop dancing.
This trend continued until she started noticing that she was so dependent upon another’s power source that when it dried up, there were not enough internal reserves to keep going. Over time, she slowly began to develop her own power source so that when her external support ran dry, and her negative ego sprang forth, she could rely on the energy of her Core Being, the Multi-Dimensional Fabric, and other Universal Energies of Support.
In the beginning, Joanne didn’t appreciate my suggestion that she find her own power source. With guidance, I suggested she sit up straight in her chair, align her spine, and connect to the energy current running through the center of her body. As she did this, she noticed the sensation of strength filling her body. I then suggested she receive energetic support from the universe and allow it to come in through every cell – front/back, top/bottom, left/right. For the first time she knew what it was to feel connected to her own power source, independent of another’s whims/wishes. Although she found times when she was reluctant to realign back to her own power source, she was able to do it. She became able to stand strong and stay healthy.
WHAT IS YOUR POWER SOURCE?
Depending upon your personality type, you may find yourself hooked into a power source other than that of your highest good. A Compassionate personality type may hook into someone else for power, a politician or performer may hook into the audience for their power, and an addict will hook into a drug. Even junk food can become an unhealthy power source. Knowing what power sources you are connecting to can help you understand what dependencies you may be cultivating and what traps you may be creating in your life.
Knowing your power source is essential to mastering the 3 Skills of Adult Consciousness taught next class.(3 Skills of Adult Consciousness: giving love, receiving love and giving love to self especially when you would rather receive.)
- Step 1: Notice what proportion of the day you are aligned to your own Core Being and/or Universal Energy as your power source.
- Step 2: Notice how often, in times of stress, you rely on unhealthy external power sources. List those unhealthy power sources.
- Step 3: Throughout the day, when you want to use an unhealthy external power source (food, alcohol, partner, friends, drugs, sex etc.) begin to fill yourself up with Core Being first.Fill yourself up as much as possible and then try to select the most healthy external power source possible. For instance, if you want cake, eat an apple instead. If you want an negative boyfriend, call a true friend or schedule a session with your therapist. If you want pornography, make love to your husband, wife or partner.
- Step 4: Over time, gradually strengthen your own internal power sources and improve your choices of the external power sources you select. Review the exercise on Building Our Energy and Biological Consciousness Container.
Access Judgments So We Can Heal our Separated Self
Imagine someone you hold judgments against.
Pause the rhythm of energy to identify what aspect in them you judge deeply.
Breathe in and feel/sense/see the energetics of that piece(s) of them you judge. What is their intention line like when they do the act you don’t like, what is their child consciousness, and defense to protect their child.
Using intention, allow your field to resonate with the energetics of that distortion and notice where you feel it in your body, mind and energy system.
Melt into the sensations of it to connect deeply.
As you do this, allow yourself to receive understanding and information about that distortion.
Using the following 4 Step process, record on paper what does the judgment reveal about their core distortions and what does it reveal about your core distortions and what could be the positive mind set to support you in moving out of judgment.
I image they are (name what you imagine is their core distortion) so they are acting (list the characteristics about the action they took that you judged).
l. I imagine (they are in fear) so they are (acting controlling and fake).
2. As a result I feel (list the emotion you are feeling) because (link it to your own history and list the reason you are responding that way).
l notice that makes me feel (I can’t trust them) because (they are acting like my father used to react and I hate that).
3. Instead I could think (list mind solution) so I can see them more clearly.
Instead I could think that they are in their own core distortion, I could feel compassion for both of us and understand that they are not my father, move out of transference and know I can learn how to keep myself safe even when someone is trying to control me.
4. Let go of the distortion in your energy system, mind and physical body.
Using Intention, visualize and feel it leaving you. Give it to your spirit guides, and/or your god figure.
I Feel the sensations of it leaving the body.
I Visualize it leaving using colors, pictures, symbols and energy.
I Now, connect to the positive mind set you listed in STEP 3 and feel, visualize, intend the positive alternative to fill all three-systems –mind, energy and body.
TLC HOMEWORK
DUE THE MONDAY BEFORE CLASS 6
Print Name; Class Number and Date on the top of each page and number each page and use .doc word only with your name and class number as the file name
1. Practice Anger Meditations (at least 5 times).
- Specifically practice Anger/Sadness Meditations on Child Consciousness. Specifically look at the anger and/or sadness held in Child Consciousness and then use the energy of anger to reconnect you to your leader energies and your Adult Consciousness (outlined in Chapter 17. This is discussed in greater detail in the second year of the training.
- Also practice feeling anger and transforming it to power.
- If it feels easy, practice transforming anxiety and/or fearinto personal power and forward movement. This is a very advanced skill and it is taught more in the second year of the training. It is especially useful when falling asleep at night and anxiety makes it hard to sleep. For instance, practice bringing in the energy of anger into the anxiety and use it to help you reconnect to Core Being and strength. For example, if you feel the anxiety in your 3rd chakra, you can balance dysregulation in the third with the great power of anger. Get support on this skill and give yourself time and kindness while developing the ability to use anger to transform anxiety. This is discussed in greater detail in the second year of the training.
Write up your experience of (1) what was easy (2) what was hard (3) what core distortion(s) tend to feed your anger (4) How did this exercise help you as a coach and as a person.
2. During one day, observe your Enlightened Observer throughout the day. Yes, that is right, witness your witness. What level of the field do you tend to hold it? How often is it at the personality level and can you shift it to a higher vibration? This may be very difficult so just do the best you can. Write up your experience and explore how this exercise was helpful to you and how it might help you become a more skillful TLC Therapist.
3. Read Chapters 16 and 17 on 5 seeds of distortion around love, attachment challenges, and 3 skills of adult consciousness. Answer the questions at the end of the chapters.
4. Do the boxes/exercises too and explore if/how they can support you in raising your consciousness. Write up a brief summary.
5. Practice the anger intervention taught this weekend then write up one session using the homework write up form.
6. What do you need to transform so you master Stage 5?
What is the Core Distortion (attachment pattern and emotional pain) holding you back so home is within and when you feel alone, you no longer have to be lonely. Practice shifting this energy and write a brief summary of what transformed.
7. For one day, practice the Where is Waldo exercise on page 117. After this, on page 116, do the meditation again called: Death-Rebirth process of Our Ego. Write a very short summary of any wisdom gained from both exercises.
8. Remember to keep practicing the 5 steps/skills/laws throughout your day, 100 times a day and sending love to your child while self-identifying as your Core Being! Child consciousness issues may be coming up for you so it is a great time to explore this topic at a deeper and kinder level than you may have in the past. Remember, be kind to your human while self-identifying as your wholeness.
BOOK QUESTIONS
Chapter 16 Review Questions
1. Explore the aspects of your programmed personality that were revealed during the 5 seeds of distortion exercises and describe any lessons learned. Be careful to explore and not judge yourself.
2. What was the result of the betrayal bonding test? What issues do you need to explore further that were highlighted as a result of the test? For instance, did you answer yes to staying in relationships too long? If so, what are the core distortions that cement you into an unhealthy pattern?
Chapter 17 Review Questions
1. In what area of your life (school, work, relationships, self-care, spirituality, recreation, hobbies) is it hardest to be in Adult Consciousness? Why?
2. In what area of your life (school, work, relationships, self-care, spirituality, recreation, hobbies) is it easiest to be in Adult Consciousness? Why?
3. Which point of the triangle is the most difficult for you to master? Why, and what can you do to support?
Chapter 17 Exercises
What are your personal challenges in claiming you Adult Consciousness in the face of stress, Core Distortions and fear? Even if you are good at all three sides of the triangle, which situations present the opportunity to refine your ability to give to others, receive from others, and give to self? Relate this to a challenge you might find as a TLC Guide.

ANGER TRANSFORMATION INTERVENTIONS
(1) Help your client assess where anger is held in their body/energy system.
(2) Uncover its source of the anger.
Is it your anger, anger you took from someone else, anger from your past or “just” anger? Not even “just” anger should be held onto, because holding on to any energy distorts it, lowers our consciousness and separates us from Core Being. This is when our Separated Self takes charge and prevents us from achieving our highest good. We can listen to just anger and take appropriate action to improve our lives and we can shift the anger to power.
(3) Help your client receive the message of wisdom anger always brings—it often relates to a boundary issue or some unfairness of the past we can’t accept and move through.
(4) Then, using the HVC of your clients Enlightened Observer and their intention line, support them to feel the emotion of anger as a sensation in the body and let it transform and return you to Core Being. You may need to let them cycle from sadness to anger. You might have them balance on the ball to self-regulate or do any of the other exercises so they don’t loop in the anger.
Also, remind them to stay in the intention line.
(5) Allow the anger to transform to wisdom and personal power (as both an emotion and sensation).
NOTE: If it is too hard for them to feel the sensation of the anger, suggest they feel free to imagine the sensation of it, picture what they are angry at, and with positive intention feel and visualize the energy of the Enlightened Observer come into their field and transform the anger.
Anger transformed becomes personal power, wisdom, positive intention and positive action so we support/protect our self in a healthy manner. This helps us make our future free and clear of our negative past programming.
NOTE: If we only touch the emotion, but don’t transform it, we loop and charge the anger, miss the wisdom and can even hurt our self or others. So don’t let them loop or charge the anger.
Practice so you discover the difference among:
- “charging the energy of anger or
- looping in anger” and/or
- “discharging the anger so it can be balanced enough for transformation.”
Also practice the following skill sets:
- strengthening the clients enlightened observer and intention line through non-touch techniques; and
- expanding the 2nd and 4th levels of their field so they can more easily feel an emotion.
Learning how to help a client feel an emotion is key. Yet there needs to be balance too so they feel it but don’t get overwhelmed by it. This is a crucial distinction rarely recognized by many but it is very important. Your job is to help your client access the anger (connect to it) and discharge it, not to charge the anger and loop in it. If you don’t feel more empowered and less angry, then they have failed to transform it.
WHAT IS YOUR POWER SOURCE?
Depending upon our or our client’s personality type, we may find our self hooked into a power source other than that of our highest good. A Compassionate personality type may hook into someone else for power, a politician or performer may hook into the audience for their power, and an addict will hook into a drug.
Even junk food can become an unhealthy power source for us. Knowing what power sources you are connecting to can help you understand what dependencies you may be cultivating. It can also help you understand what negative beliefs are/have developed and what traps you may be creating for yourself in your life.
Career, family, friends and our partners support us, but if they fall short, leave or die, we need to open to consistent internal support. It is essential to mastering the 3 Skills of Adult Consciousness: giving love, receiving love and giving love to self even when we would rather receive.
Step 1: Ask your client to notice what proportion of the day they are aligned to their own Core Being and/or Universal Energy as their power source.
Step 2: Help them notice how often, in times of stress, they rely on unhealthy external power sources. List those power sources.
Step 3: Discover what is the “pain” that needs to be transformed so instead of going to an unhealthy external power source, they feel the internal pain and transform it back to Core Being. It is vital they feel the pain they are trying to escape if they are to give up numbing and using unhealthy power sources.
Step 4: Help them feel CB as both a sensation and emotion in the same location in the body that held the “pain.”
USE PHYSICAL MOVEMENT, CARDIOVASCULAR OR STRENGTH EXERCISES TO SHIFT CHALLENGING EMOTIONAL ENERGY
Free movement/dance expression, punching bag, yoga, weight lifting, and many other exercises can also be used to shift anger or any challenging emotion. Whatever physical activity we enjoy (hiking, biking, yoga) can be adapted to help us shift out of a negative emotion and back to Core Being. I teach Trinity, an exercise class where students get a great physical workout as they transform energetic and emotional challenges.
Step 1: Find a physical exercise or movement (yoga…) to help them shift the energy of anger. Remember the following tips/rules:
(1) Take breaks in-between sets to make sure they don’t charge the anger. For instance, when hitting a pillow or punching bag I usually don’t let myself or my clients hit more than 6-10 times without stopping and feeling the sensation of energy in their body. Hitting creates a charge, but pausing to take in the energy from that charge into the cells is vital. They can harvest it deep within them to balance their field.
(2) It is important to notice if the energy and sensations in the body are evenly distributed. If the energy is mostly in just the upper body or just the lower body, then transformation has not been complete.
(3) Assess whether the emotion(s) have lessened or increased. If the energy of the challenging emotion has increased, and we have done at least four sets, it could mean that their Enlightened Observer is not strong enough, and they are not holding a strong Intention Line toward healing. If this happens, they can connect to the consciousness in their body with the Explorer’s Mind to investigate if there is a negative belief, ego and/or negative intention preventing the transformation.
(4) Sometimes they need to discharge anger before it will transform. It is like a volcano needing to blow its top off before the lava will flow. Assess if a discharge of anger is needed—and be careful to discharge, instead of looping and recycling the same anger over and over again. Recycling the same anger usually happens when they are in negative intention because they can’t accept the past and move forward. Straightening their Enlightened Observer and Intention Line will help with this.
(5) Since it is intention/connection that moves energy (physical touch is not necessary), when hitting a pillow or an object, don’t intend the pillow to be anyone in particular. For instance, if they want to process their anger about their father and, as they are hitting the pillow, (or whatever) they are thinking they are hitting him, then they are energetically sending hitting energy at him. Instead, they can align the Intention Line to release the anger about him and any LVC they took on from him. And, remember to never let them intend to hit or hurt another-release and move forward.
USE ANGER TO SHIFT ANXIETY
Any of the previous exercises can be used to bring the energy of anger into anxiety and reconnect us back to Core Being. Then, follow the steps outlined below:
(1) First, help your client charge their field and expand it using any of the techniques already taught. Fill the central channel with strength.
(2) Connect to your Manifest Energy and Enlightened Observer and make them strong. And then help the client do the same.
(3) Locate where the anxiety is strongest in the body-usually the heart or stomach. If the only place they sense it is in the head, then find a different place that is lower in the body to focus on. This is because focusing on the head could bring too big a charge into it and could result in a headache. Also, it could cause the client to dissociate, and lose their grounding. Regulate your field so you help them!
(4) Next, help the client find where in their mind/body they can tap into the energy of anger (such as the pelvis). It helps if you guide them to think of something that makes them mad, such as 9/11; global warming or something personal in their life. Let the energy of anger expand throughout the lower body and let it blend and mix with the anxiety. Regulate your field so you help them!
(5) As you do this, help your client engage their intention for the anger to transform to strength and melt away the anxiety. Ask them to breath, expand and let it melt. Breath, expand and let it melt.
(6) As they melt away the anxiety with the now converted energy of strength, help them invite the HVC of Core Being to grow. Regulate your field so you help them!
